About Us: Standard Telecom for Nortel Networks

We are Standard Telecom, the operating name of Standard IP Solutions and we are located  in Toronto, Canada.

We Sell: Standard Telecom sells Nortel business phones (also Avaya & Mitel) and related phone equipment across Canada and the US.

We Service: We provide “on site” Nortel business telephone system repairs and programming, in Toronto and surrounding areas.

We buy used Nortel Networks products as well as other major brands of phones and phone equipment.

Nortel Networks was bought by Avaya Communications (Avaya.com) in 2007. Because Avaya offers very little Nortel Support, we offer free Nortel User Guides on our website Support page and help videos on our Service page.

To find a local phone service company you need to Google "Avaya telephone service in ( your area )" and when you get the list of companies you will see that some service only Avaya and some service both Avaya and Nortel phone systems.

    When purchasing online, compare the total cost of your order. Some companies advertise low pricing but overcharge for shipping and/or add handling fees to make up for lower profits.

    Watch out for tax scams. Most businesses are registered only within the Province where they are located however some websites collect taxes for other Provinces but do not remit them to the government. A valid tax number is required for all transaction and can be verified by contacting your local tax office.

    Research who you are buying from. Many websites operate from a house or apartment and are not registered businesses. If you are unsure, we recommend using Google to view a photo of their business address. Often these companies sell unofficial or counterfeit products, collect local taxes which are not remitted or reported, and sell or lend your confidential information which can lead to fraud and identity theft.
